Duckpool Beach

Dogs allowed all year

Duckpool Beach is a secluded beach, just down the coast from Sandymouth beach. However, it is over the border from the North Cornish Sandymouth and Duckpool is actually North Devon!

There is a National Trust car park just next to the beach, which is free for members but if you are not a member they ask for a donation and there is a donation box in the car park.

The beach is a short walk down from the car park. At low tide there are some rocks you can walk/climb over to get to the sandy beach. At low tide these are covered and a smaller amount of the beach is seen.

The beach has a very secluded feel to it and is usually quite quiet. Like the neighbouring much larger beach sandymouth, Duckpool has a sandy beach for all to enjoy (especially the dogs!)

Due to the peaceful aspect to this beach, it is the perfect place to park up and have a picnic on the beach and stay for a few hours and enjoy this part of the coast.

From here you can also join the coastal path and either walk East and head towards that coast, or you can walk West and along Sandymouth and beyond.
