Cann Woods – Plymouth

Cann woods is a forest commission woodland in Plymouth. It is 230 hectares, so there is a lot to explore!!

There is plenty of parking at the woods, so you won’t have trouble parking…it does get busy at times but we’ve never struggled finding a space.

Our dogs love these woods and so do we! You can do a different route everytime as there are lots of paths you can take.

All the walking paths are clearly labelled but you need to be aware that the woods are also popular with mountain bikers.
The bikers have specific paths they use but they do cross over the walking paths, so you just need to be alert and hold onto the dogs when they pass.

Quite close to the car park there is also a field, which is perfect for throwing the ball around!

Dogs are of course allowed off lead but under control. There are deer in these woods, as well as pheasants and other animals.

Please clean up after your dog. There is a poo bin off the main path and at the car park.
