Coverack to Blackhead circular walk

This walk covers a stunning part of the coastal path, through woodland paths, bridges and across the beaches.

Starting in Coverack, where parking is limited so you need to make sure you get there early. There is a car park at the north of the village or there are a few random parking bays on the edges of the village. You can find the car park by using the address: Car Park, Coverack, Helston TR12 6TF. This is an honesty payment car park, so please ensure you have some change to contribute.

If you park here you will have to walk through the village to join the coastal path. However, the village is so beautiful you will enjoy adding this to your walk!

Once you have walked through the village and back up the hill you will see the coastal path signs. Walk along the path with the cottages on your right, before taking a left turn onto the coastal path.

This part of the coastal path can be very muddy, so make sure you wear good walking boots or shoes you do not mind getting wet and dirty!

Throughout the walk you will walk through woodland paths, over bridges and marsh land and then joining the coastal path show casing the beautiful coves and crystal blue sea.

We didn’t come across much livestock but they are/can be around and there are signs informing you to be aware of the horses grazing and the local farm land. Just be aware and ensure you put your dogs on the lead when required.

Half way along you will come across the Coast Guard lookout at Black Head. It is the perfect place to stop and have lunch, while taking in the views!

As you carry on, the path eventually turns inland and you follow the path along and join the country lanes. These roads are very quiet and you will not come across many cars but make sure you keep your dogs on the lead.

The road will eventually lead you back into Coverack where you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in one of the local cafes or pub. Or you could buy a drink and snack from the local shop and sit on the beach and take in the stunning views in Coverack.
