Lizard Point to Cadgwith walk

Parking is at the Lizard point car park. This is a National Trust car park, so is free to members. If you are not a member then you will need to pay and display. There are also toilets in the car park which are free to use! You can find it at Lizard point car park, Landewednack, Helston TR12 7NT.

This walk is 6.1 and graded as difficult due to the ascents and descents in this walk but it is worth it!

This walk offers fantastic views along the coast line, which in my opinion is some of the best in Cornwall. Along the walk you will come across some great coves to explore and we didn’t see many people!

The walk is all coastal path, with all your usual paths, fields and gates etc. We did a mixture of dogs on lead and off lead. Most of the path is covered by fences or thick hedges but some of it there is a clear open drop, so dogs need to be on the lead in these places. Also be aware livestock may be in these fields, so be aware you may need to put dogs on the lead in these fields too!

As I said previously, the walk has some high climbs and there are some scrambles in places but if you are fit and active, with some good walking gear you will be fine!

The walk is worth it for the end destination of the small fishing village of Cadgwith. This place is small but beautiful. There is a pub there, offering wonderful food. They have indoor and outdoor seating and of course accept dogs!

The only thing we found on the way home was some of the signs had been taken down or were not where we expected them to be! So just make sure you follow the map and instructions properly, or head back along the coast path as it is worth seeing twice!
