Mount Batten Beach

Dogs allowed all year

This beach is a small bay in Plymouth but dogs are allowed all year, so it is always a good choice!

The beach is not the biggest but it is perfect for a good run around and a swim for the dogs! (and humans if you wish!)

There is a lot of parking here, either on the street opposite the beach or in the car parks just up from the beach.

From this beach you can also walk up the coastal path to Jennycliffe beach, Bovisand and onto Wembury. Perfect for a day of exploring.

If you want to make a day of it, then there is a pub here called The Mount Batten bar. They have a lot of space inside and a lovely decking area outside. It is also dog friendly! You can get to the bar by walking along the coast line, past the Mount Batten Tower and the breakwater. You can see Plymouth Hoe and Barbican from this side of the water too!
