Ringmore – Bigbury Circular Coastal Walk

Ringmore – Bigbury Circular Walk

– 9.3 miles

The beginning of the walk starts at the Aymer Car Park in Ringmore. This is a National Trust car park and is free for members. If you are not a member you will need to call the number on the board to pay by phone. It is £2 all day.

From the car park there is a path down to the beautiful Aymer Cove, which you can read about here.

After some time exploring the Cove, you need to take the very steep coastal path to the left of the Cove. Once up at the top on the path, you follow the coastal path along.

The walk can be steep in places and some good walking shoes are advised. It can also be muddy in places. You do pass through some fields and farmland, so the dogs will need to be on lead in these areas.

The path passes by some beautiful coast, including Bigbury and the River Avon.

The rest of the walk is through lovely fields and farmland. We did pass some livestock, so just be aware of this when walking with dogs.

We also passed some lovely farm produce stalls, which if you have space in your bags, would be good to pick up some homegrown veg!

There are opportunities to cut the walk short and cross over the fields, if you were feeling that the walk was too long.

This was a great walk but quiet a long one. So make sure you take food and drink with you!
