The beach is a short walk down from the car park, past the café. As soon as you get onto the beach you will notice how stunning it is. At low tide there is a wide beach to explore, with lots of rock pools, sandy beach and of course the crystal clear sea.

The dogs had the best time here, they are allowed all year round which is great! There is so much space and things for them to explore, our dogs were knackered when we got back to the car!
We walked left all along the beach to Northcott Mouth Beach. This is just over 1 mile. While at Northcott Mouth Beach, you will notice if you look at the cliffs towards Sandymouth, that the cliffs form the shape of a sleeping Dragon. Once you see it you wont forget it!

From there we joined the coastal path on the top of the cliffs and walked back to the Sandymouth car park. We enjoyed going back along the coastal path as it gave us a change to view the beach from above.

Be careful with the dogs and the cliff edge, it is a very steep drop! There is also some farmland and potential for animals, so it is best to keep them on lead for this part of the walk.
