Dogs allowed all year!
There are two car parks you can use. The main car park for the beach is Saunton Sands car park, Braunton EX33 1LQ. This is a pay and display car park. You can pay via parking apps or at the machine. From here you can walk straight onto the beach. There is another car park you can use which is Sandy Lane car park, Sandy Ln, Braunton EX33 2NX. This is a pay on arrival car park. You can pay with cash or card. And you get a free coffee from the coffee hut if you do!
This beach is huge! A beautiful sandy beach that goes on for miles!
The beach backs onto the Braunton Burrows, which are very impressive sand dunes that are part of UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
As we parked at Sandy lane car park, we walked through and over the dunes to get to the beach. I would highly recommend doing this if you can, the dogs will love it!
At low tide the beach is huge. You can walk for miles in either direction!
At the main car park there are quite a few food outlets and shops. These offer all you can need from light snacks to a full lunch!
We absolutely loved our visit here and cannot wait to return!
