Venford Reservoir

Venford reservoir is in the middle of Dartmoor. A bit of a hidden gem!

You will easily find the reservoir in your maps, and there are free car parks just over the road from the reservoir (see map below). However, this is the address: Venford Reservoir, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ13 7SS

The walk around the reservoir is about a mile long but it is beautiful and covers everything you want and need from a great dog walk!

There are lots of places for a picnic and for the dogs to have a quick dip!

There is also a waterfall you can go looking for, this can be hard to find so make sure you follow the map when you are there to find it.

When you are walking back, the last little bit is on the road when you cross over the dam. The road isn’t that busy but please ensure your dog is on a lead.
