Dogs allowed all year!
Wembury point is another part of the coast that is owned by the National Trust.
There is a car park which is free to National Trust Members, or the charge is payable via phone. The address is: Wembury Point Car Park, Spring Rd, Plymouth, Devon, PL9 0BA
Once at the car park there are two path options you can take, both leading onto the South West Coast Path.

The first one is near the entrance of the car park and though a small gate. You can follow the path all the way down until you reach a small wooden bridge. Once you have crossed the bridge go left and you will enter the beach.

On your way down to this part of the beach you will see lots of different paths, all part of the South West Coast Path. So there are lots of different options to make each visit different!

Once on the beach you can explore in both directions. However, if you go right and walk along the beach and right around you will end up near Heybrook bay.
Once you have enjoyed all the beach has to offer, you can make your way back up the path and along the top back to the car park.

This is the path you would take if you took the second gate from the car park. So you can loop back on yourself.

Be aware here as the National Trust use Dartmoor ponies to graze here and help keep the grass under control. If the animals are around, please keep your dogs on a lead.
Dogs are allowed on this part of the beach all year around!
There are no poo bins here, so please take your poo bags home with you.
