Whitleigh Woods – Plymouth

With 50 acres of woodland, it is like a little slice of countryside in the city.

Getting here is easy but parking is limited. The entrance to the woods is on Borrowdale Close. You can park here but it is limited as it is a residential road but there are roads nearby you could use.

Address: Borrowdale Close, Plymouth, PL6 5BN.

Once you have parked you will see the path just off the pavement, opposite the houses. (see map above)

Go down the path, through the gate and over the bridge.

There are MANY paths you can take in these woods and that is why we love it! But we do find it like a maze, so either remember to try and do a loop or to head back the way you came!

The woods are beautiful with big trees and lots of places for the dogs to explore!

Some of the paths can be overgrown, so you may need to make your way through them but it is worth it!

There are also some small streams running through the woods, which is great for the dogs to cool down in.

I hope you enjoy exploring these woods, as each time we go we find a new route!
